Reading the site

Our own pages set no cookies and send nothing to analytics until you agree. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical data every web request carries, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages. Two things on the site involve other companies: the GetYourGuide tour widget and links to booking platforms, both described below.

Analytics, only with your consent

If you choose “Accept” on the consent bar, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits so we can see which pages help people find what they need. If you choose “Reject”, or choose nothing, no analytics request is made. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the name ttdl-consent, so the bar does not ask again; this is needed to respect your choice. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Cookies set after consent: _ga and _ga_LYXBF2MKSD. Measurement ID: G-LYXBF2MKSD. Tour widget from GetYourGuide

Some pages show a widget with current tours and prices from GetYourGuide. It loads from GetYourGuide's servers when it scrolls into view, without asking for consent first. Your browser then sends GetYourGuide the technical data every web request carries, such as your IP address and the page you are on, and GetYourGuide may set its own cookies or similar identifiers. GetYourGuide decides how it uses that data; its privacy policy is on getyourguide.com. We use the widget to show tours you can book with live prices. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in showing current offers.

Links to booking platforms

Links to tours and hotels lead to GetYourGuide and Trip.com. When you click one, your browser tells the platform which page you came from, as with any link; we send nothing else. If you book, the platform may use this to pay us a commission (see our affiliate disclosure). What happens on the platform is covered by its own privacy policy.
